To work with a steering group of chief executive-level partners, creating an international presence for Liverpool City Region at Cannes’ annual property forum MIPIM.
MIPIM gives UK cities an opportunity to be showcased on an international platform, taking their place in a forum with the world’s most high profile destinations. Leading the steering group for Liverpool’s presence in Cannes since 2013, RBA has helped grow the number of private sector partners from 14 in year one to more than 40 partners now, with the support of the city region’s leadership, including Metro Mayor Steve Rotherham. Together we have built a long term strategy to make sure that LCR’s development and property sectors work closely together, creating a 12-month programme for businesses to support. Tactically, we have grown our events programme from three events in year one to over 30 in year six.
The role focuses on strategic project management, directing the team to meet the high-level ex-pectations of our partners, organising introductions and making sure the event performs effectively as an investment showcase for the Liverpool City Region. It involves a strategic relationship with the MIPIM steering group and the city’s leadership, including the city region’s Metro Mayor and local authority leaders.
Our achievements to date and the development of Liverpool's presence at MIPIM are due in no small part to Rachael's diligence, tenacity and excellent project management. A high level project like this needs careful management, and Rachael delivers.
